You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when websites set or access cookies. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this website may become inaccessible or not function properly.

Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences. Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us. You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. However this may prevent you from taking full advantage of some of the functions and features of our website.

Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how and when we collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from us, contact us, or otherwise use services through timeandtoast.com.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control, including Squarespace who host this e-commerce platform, or our payment gateway provider, PayPal, who process your payments securely (and never disclose any of your payment card details to us). Nor does it apply to any third party services or links that you access through our website.

Information we collect
To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information, either directly, or via Squarespace and Paypal. This information will include your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information if you contact me directly, subscribe to our (yet to be launched) newsletter or fill in the form on this website.

Why we need your information and how we use it
We use your information to fulfil your order and to provide customer support, and if and when you have provided your affirmative consent, such as by signing up for my newsletter. It also may be necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law or to settle disputes; and as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, we will use your information to provide the services you requested and in our legitimate interest to improve our services.

Information sharing and disclosure
The information you provide will be used solely within TIME AND TOAST for the purposes of fulfilling your order. Under no circumstances will we sell, trade or rent your personal information to others.
Your personal information is only ever shared for limited reasons and in limited circumstances, which may include:
Service providers - We engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services, such as delivery companies. We will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
Business transfers - If we sell or merge this business, we may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.
Compliance with laws - we may collect, use, retain, and share your information if we have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce our agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of our customers, or others.

Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services and as described in our Privacy Policy. However, we may also be required to retain this information to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce agreements. Therefore, we will generally keep at least some of your data for a period of 7 years.

Your Rights
For purposes of EU data protection law, I, Nicola Penny, am the data controller of your personal information. If you would like to access, change, restrict or delete any personal information we have about you, raise a concern, register a complaint or simply want more information, you can get in touch by emailing nicola [at] timeandtoast.com.
